Charlotte Selver Oral History and Book Project

The past months have been challenging in terms of funding for the book, forcing me to set other priorities. Ultimately, I think this has been a good thing because I have been able to explore more deeply what working with people through Sensory Awareness could mean for me in the future, and having a bit of distance from the book project confirmed how much I love it and care about it. I missed working on the book, though I really never put the project aside altogether.

Fortunately, the new year has brought new funds from several very generous donors and am now able to give much more time to the project again. Thank you!

This work is made possible thanks to the generosity of people like you. Please consider a donation today. (read more)

Thank you for your support.

The purpose of the Charlotte Selver Oral History and Book Project
is to create for the first time a detailed biography
of Charlotte Selver's life and an oral history of people
who have been touched by her and her work.

This web site offers updates on the project, which was launched
in January of 2008, though its beginnings go back to 1999,
when I interviewed Charlotte Selver extensively with this in mind.

New content is being added regularly, some of which is accessible
exclusively to supporters of the project on the Members page.
There you can see a log of my activities, excerpts (audio and transcripts)
of the work in progress as well as archival documents.

A project like this is not possible without the support of many.
I am very grateful to the Sensory Awareness Foundation,
who's support includes fiscal sponsorship for the project.

Heartfelt thanks go to the many private donors.
It is for the most part through their generosity that this work is possible.
As Charlotte would say: "Without you, nothing – with you, everything!"

Thank you!

Stefan Laeng-Gilliatt
